Composer, harpsichordist/pianist, singer, and music teacher in Vienna. One of the 3 women

elected to the Accademia Filarmonica of Bologna in the 18th century, her compositions include

piano concerti and sonatas (many now lost), Masses and Mass movements, motets, oratorios, psalm

settings, secular cantatas and arias. One of her teachers was Joseph Haydn. Although her high social

status meant that she did not perform on public stages, her brilliant weekly salons were frequented by Haydn, Mozart and other notable musicians.
